What Benchmarks Are
Benchmarks let you set simple “good / watch / poor” thresholds for any metric in your Visiopt Traffic Report. Once set, Visiopt will color only the metric value in the table as green, yellow, or red so you can instantly see performance at a glance.
Why Benchmarks Are Useful
Benchmarks remove guesswork. Instead of scanning rows of numbers, you can quickly spot what’s working, what needs attention, and where to focus optimization across campaigns, ads, and traffic sources without changing or filtering any underlying data.
How To Use Benchmarks (Step-by-Step)
- Open your Traffic Report in Visiopt.
- Click the Benchmarks button
- In the Benchmarks modal, click Add Your First Benchmark.
- Select your Metric (the exact metric you want to color in the report).
- Select your Goal (the goal this benchmark should apply to).
- Under Thresholds, enter your benchmark numbers:
- Red (Poor): enter the value that counts as poor performance. Anything at this number or lower will display red.
- Green (Good): enter the value that counts as good performance. Anything at this number or higher will display green.
- Yellow (Watch): anything between your red and green thresholds will display yellow automatically.
- Red (Poor): enter the value that counts as poor performance. Anything at this number or lower will display red.
- (Optional) Click Add Another Benchmark to set benchmarks for additional metrics/goals.
- Click Save.
After saving, go back to the Traffic Report and you’ll see the selected metric values automatically highlighted in red/yellow/green based on the thresholds you set.
