The Traffic control option in tests is used when we want to send more or less traffic to the Control variation than to the rest of the variations!
To find the Traffic control option, click on the Gear icon on the test review page, then select Traffic Control:
By default, Visiopt sends an equal amount of traffic to all variations of a test.:
To change the percentage of the traffic sent to the Control variation, simply drag the slider to the desired amount for the Control, and Visiopt will automatically spread out the remaining % between the rest of the variations:
If, after a while, we change back the traffic percentage of the Control variation, Visiopt will run more traffic to the variation with fewer visits to even out the numbers between all the variations.
This means the Control variation will get less traffic until the rest of the variations catch up!
This behavior can be changed if we want Visiopt to keep sending traffic evenly to all variations, even after we changed back the percentage of the Control variation to the original percentage!
This can be done with the Auto Adjust switch:
By default, the switch is turned ON, which means the Control variation will get less traffic until the rest of the variations catch up.
If we turn the switch OFF, Visiopt will keep sending traffic evenly to all variations, even after we changed back the percentage of the Control variation to the original percentage!
