Visiopt sends data to Facebook through the API in real-time. But Facebook doesn't show it in the campaigns in real time.
Visiopt data to appear in the Campaigns can take anywhere between 1-24 hours. Usually, it is within 1-2 hours.
To see how accurately Visiopt sends data through Facebook API, log into FB ads manager, then in the left side bar click on the Events Manager:
Then click on Data Sources:
Then click on the Fb Pixel in question;
Then look for the events that are being passed (in the example below those are: Add to cart and Purchase:
Click on the event you want to view details for, it will expand, then click on the View Details button:
There you can view Event quality and Data freshness (grade 8 out of 10 is considered as very good):
In the left side bar click on Event Quality:
You will see grade 8.2/10, which is very good, as we send all of the following data:
When you are optimizing in Facebook campaign, make sure you optimize using the correct data. In our example it is the Website purchases:
Another important thing to keep in mind is that Visiopt sends data depending on your setting in your conversion API, which could be first-click or last-click.
Facebook does not have the proper information on what is a first-click.
Example:
You have AD 1, somebody clicks, but doesn't convert.
Eight days later, same person sees AD 2, clicks on it and converts.
Facebook will attribute the purchase to the second click incorrectly, as first click happened on AD 1 eight7 days ago.
