A scroll map shows how far users scroll down a webpage, revealing which sections are most and least viewed. This helps you understand where users lose interest or stop engaging, allowing you to adjust content placement to keep them engaged longer.
To create a new scroll map, click on the Create a new scroll map button. Then enter the name you want, select the funnel, and finally select the page and click save.
To review your scroll map, click on the title, and then the page will load here with the scroll map above it.
When you see a wide overlay, it means that is the section with the most impressions.
Here in the middle, you can see the percentage and the actual number of impressions.
As we scroll down further we see the amount of impressions change.
If we scroll to the bottom, we will see this gray area, which means there is no impressions in that section.
You can click here to refresh your stats, and then the scroll map will update.
Also, you can view scroll maps on desktop separately from mobile and tablet.
You have the ability to change the date range here.
Here we see the list of scroll maps.
You see its name. Then the funnel name where the page is located.
You can see when it was created.
This icon will pause the scroll map.
You can click and change it from paused to active.
You can edit the title of the scroll map once it is set up.
If we want to change the funnel or the page, we have to delete the scroll map and create a new one.
And of course, this icon is used to delete the scroll map.
